Rexi and the Bug Garden
Rexi is a scary Coelophysis. He lives in a squishy green swamp and eats tiny bugs.
He has sharp teeth but kind eyes. He hums as he looks for crunchy beetles under leaves.
One hot day the swamp drank up the water. The bugs were gone.
Rexi felt hungry and worried. He stomped and searched, but his stomps scared small animals away.
Buzz the dragonfly zipped down to Rexi. Buzz had bright blue wings and a brave buzz.
Buzz found a tiny glowing seed in the mud. Rexi blinked—this seed smelled like bug snacks.
Rexi put on a big leaf as a hat and dug a hole with his tail. He planted the seed and sprinkled swamp water.
The seed grew into a merry bug garden full of crunchy treats. A big heron tried to snatch the bugs, but Rexi made a scary face and chased it away.
Now the swamp fills with bugs, songs, and friends. Rexi still looks scary, but he is gentle and proud — he saved the bugs he loves.
